Mention northern Ontario and right away people think of camping out under the starry sky, watching the Northern Lights put on a show.
Getting back to nature has never been easier (or more fun!). Camping is readily available. For those seeking some basic level of creature comfort, book a site at Esker Lakes Provincial Park. You can pitch a tent and still enjoy flush toilets, comfort stations, laundromat and much more. Back country camping is also available. For those not afraid to rough it, camping on crown land is allowed for a maximum of 21 days. For more information, visit the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
RV (Recreational Vehicle) camping is also available. Culver Park in Swastika has some spots, as does Swan Lake Campgrounds.
